Ideas is one page with two views over the same set of records. The Idea Deck is for deciding one card at a time. The Idea Bank is the list of what you kept. Switch between them at the top of the page; keeping a card in the deck is what puts a row in the bank.
The deck
Cards arrive as a stack. Deal with the top one and the next moves up.
- Drag right to keep it. Keeping is a commitment to make the video.
- Drag left to pass. A passed card does not come back, so pass deliberately.
- Drag up to remix. Terano AI generates fresh takes on the same concept and adds them to the deck; the original is retired in their place.
- Tap the card to turn it over.
The arrow keys do the same three things, and Enter or Space turns the card over. On the back there is also a More like this button, which is the remix.
What is on a card
The front carries the goal the idea is aimed at (Reach, Grow or Earn) and the idea's title, which you can edit in place before you decide. Underneath, where the card has it, is where the idea came from: the videos it was grounded in, or the conversation you talked it out of.
The back carries the hooks written for the idea. For long-form ideas it also carries packaging options, a title and thumbnail pairing, and choosing one keeps the card with that packaging attached. Number keys pick a packaging while the card is flipped.
Short or long
The deck shows one format at a time, and the switch at the top of the page decides which. This is deliberate: a short and a long-form video are not judged against the same evidence, so mixing them on one deck would compare two different populations. The Research map uses the same setting, so a change in one place follows you to the other.
Where the cards come from
Your first visit of the day deals a fresh hand for each format and tops the deck up toward a full stack. It is skipped if a deal is already running, if a hand was already dealt that day, or if your deck is already full, so a second person on the same account opening the page does not deal a second time.
While you swipe, the deck tops itself up quietly in the background. When it does run out, the empty state offers to deal another hand, and that one you have asked for explicitly.
If Terano AI has nothing to build on yet, no posts it can read and nothing written on your profile, it says so and asks you to describe what you make, rather than dealing from nothing.
The bank
Keeping a card creates a video record from it, in the Script stage with no date yet, and the bank is the list of those. From here you can:
- Search your ideas, or filter them by goal.
- Rename a row in place.
- Open a row, which takes you into its script.
- Write your own idea, which goes straight into the bank without passing through the deck.
- Remove a row you have changed your mind about.
Rows are grouped into this week and earlier, so the list stays readable as it grows.
Getting an idea onto the calendar
A banked idea has no date yet. Open the day you want on Plan and pick an idea from the bank; it lands on that day, and from then on it moves through the pipeline like any other video. See Calendar and pipeline.
