Connect a YouTube channel through the Google OAuth flow in workspace connection settings. Google shows the requested permissions before you grant access. Use a Google account that has authority over the channel you intend to connect.
What the connection supports
Terano AI uses the connection to identify your channel, read channel and video information, import available content, and support analysis. Terano AI has read-only access and cannot upload, edit or delete videos on your channel.
Permissions requested
Terano AI requests these Google scopes for YouTube:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonlyto read your channel and video information.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonlyto read YouTube Analytics data.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics-monetary.readonlyso Terano AI can show what each video earned.
Every one of these is a read permission: Terano AI cannot upload, edit or delete anything on
your channel. Until 21 August 2026 we also requested youtube.force-ssl, a broader
write-capable scope, because the YouTube captions API required it to read captions. Transcripts
no longer come from that API, so the scope has been dropped. If you connected before that date
your existing grant may still include it; reconnecting clears it, as does revoking access at
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Disconnect and revoke
Disconnecting the channel in Terano AI revokes the stored Google token used for the connection. You can also remove Terano AI's access in your Google Account security controls. For information about data handling, see the Privacy Policy.
